New Sports Uniform

The new Sports Polo top, as worn by the Transition students, was discussed at School Board in regards to a decision for its introduction to the rest of the school. We are moving to this uniform in the new year and we will be taking orders next term for this top.

The old stock (we have more in the smaller sizes) are now selling at a 20% discount.

We would like to announce that there will be a three year time frame for this change over, so that by 2023 the old polo top will no longer be part of the uniform.

Sacrament Program

We are excited that 37 of our children will be Confirmed and make their First Holy Communion over two weekends beginning on August 23rd.

Catholic Identity

At our catholic schools our vision for ‘thriving people, capable learners and leaders for the world God desires’ is at the heart of all we do.  Underpinning this and specific to Rosary school is our Dominican story.

It is with this in mind that we want to ensure we help our students and our families to understand our catholic tradition in a way that makes sense for today’s challenges and life.

Hot Topics Decision Making - Haircuts and Sandshoes

Following consultation with students, parents and staff the School Board would like to inform our community of the following decisions… Camps – there is no change to the current practice where Year 4 does an overnight camp and Year 5 & 6 participate in a two night camp.

The following decisions will be implemented from term 4…

  • Haircuts – decision is that the policy will remain with an emphasis on extreme haircuts that includes but not limited to… Hair length should not be too short (not shorter than a no. 2) or with shaved lines etc, but it must be clean and not covering the students face or eyes.

  • Sandshoes – decision to widen the policy to allow for coloured sandshoes with the exception of fluro colours.
