NUDE FOOD DAY

Date: Wednesday 18th November, 2020
Venue: Rosary School, 15 Gladstone Road, Prospect, South Australia, 5082

On this day we ask that your child’s lunch contain as few items as possible that must be thrown away. Ideally, your child’s lunch will only contain items that will be eaten, composted or recycled.

Pope Francis Calls us to care for our environment stating ‘ Together, we pledge our commitment to raising awareness about the stewardship of creation. What kind of a world do we want to leave to those who come after us?’

The Nude Food/ Waste-Free Lunch Challenge is one of Rosary School’s sustainability education initiatives. By participating, students will have a better understanding of how we can take action to reduce our waste. Nude Food/ Waste-free lunches also save money and promote healthy eating.

Fruit and vegetable scraps (e.g. apple cores and banana skins) together with fruit boxes will be composted and recycled  at the school through our sustainability system.
