Catholic Identity - The effectiveness of Rosary School in being a Catholic School where we learn about our faith and live this in our daily interaction.
Education - The effectiveness of Rosary School in providing high quality teaching and learning that is engaging for our students.
Community - The effectiveness of Rosary School in engaging with our families, parish and community.
Administration - The effectiveness of Rosary School to administer the school’s staff, finances, buildings and grounds.
Below are some of the areas we have been working on over the last 3-5 years:
Catholic Identity
• Budget for the student environmental and sustainability group
• Staff prayer and staff meeting with a focus on Scripture
• Investigate groups other than SARC (Mini-Vinnies, social justice, etc)
• Introduction to the new Crossways document
• Support teachers in the Grad Cert in RE program through 2 scholarship programs in 2018
• Support teachers to attend the PRIMA conference through two scholarship programs in 2018
• Regional Conference on Catholic Identity
• Student environmental and sustainability group formed – The Green Team
• Support Teachers to complete the Graduate Certificate in RE through sponsorship
• A School focus on the Year of Mercy
• Student participation in “Green Day Out”
• Staff meeting prayer with a focus on Christian Meditation
• Support Teachers in the Christian Meditation Project

Education
MAJOR PROJECTS (3 YEAR PROGRAM)
• Numeracy Project to move teaching towards an inquiry approach
• Re-imagining the child project with a focus on the role of play in Early Years Learning
• STEM - every teacher is a STEM teacher
• Literacy Project - move towards literacy blocks
• Seven Steps writing
• Leuven Project - Enhancing the Catholic School Identity
• To continue to develop student wellbeing in the school and to work towards completion of KidsMatter Accreditation

UNIVERSITY LINKS (3 YEAR PROGRAMS)
• University of Southern Queensland - School Improvement Project
• Curtin University - Enhancing School Climate
MINOR PROJECTS
• Senior teachers attended Edutech Conference
• Incorporation of Microsoft 365 suite of products
• Support Early Years teachers in using common informed literacy practices
• Documented Annual Goals and Professional Learning Plans for teachers linked to the school’s goals and the National Professional Standards for Teachers
• Implemented new program for Literacy support
• To lead staff in a process to develop student goal setting and ways that students can reflect on these goals throughout the year
• To develop a similar process for staff and their Annual Appraisal program using One-Note
• To introduce the concept of “Build it up walls” for promoting student insights into their own capabilities and learning progress
• To move to a new student report format that better informs parents of student progress
Community
• Participate in the Parental Engagement Project
• P & F functions / organised activities

• Growth of Playgroup
• Kids matter building parent and family relationships through Mark Le Messurier information night

Administration
• Complete refurbishment of all classrooms (carpet and furniture)
• Complete painting of all inside and outside areas
• Updated our website to have “responsive” capabilities
• Investigated costs associated with increased teacher support in the classroom
• Implement increased teacher support for students with needs
• Fund Decodable Readers in Reception
• Investigate further opportunities for students in The Arts
• Investigate access to digital technologies at an earlier age
• Added School Stream app
• Online Newsletter
